Prosper Inc. Helps Nonprofit Keep Doors Open

Prosper, Inc. recently provided a generous corporate contribution and helped avert a potential disaster for a local, nonprofit organization.

Prosper Inc. was searching for a way to make a difference in the community. By working with the United Way of Utah County, it became aware of a local need at one of United Way’s partner agencies and was able to give a gift of $10,000 to help where it mattered most.

“The idea came from our employees,” says Prosper CEO Ethan Willis. “When we asked them what type of Holiday celebration would be best, our people said they would rather give to a worthy cause than have a party.”

At the same time Prosper, Inc. wanted to make its donation, Recreation and Habilitation Services (RAH), a Provo-based organization that provides developmentally disabled citizens with training to help them function effectively in society, was contemplating closing its doors because its heating system failed. However, Prosper, Inc.’s gift made it possible for a repair, preventing the disruption of programs and services.

“We are grateful for the support companies and organizations like Prosper provide for our community,” said Bill Hulterstrom, president of United Way of Utah County. “With their help, we are able to avoid the barriers and obstacles that prevent the success of the community’s members.”

Prosper, Inc. is aware of the impact contributions can have on the cohesiveness of the community. By partnering with the United Way of Utah County, Prosper, Inc. realized that together with key members of the community, an organization can accomplish more than a single group to make lasting change in Utah County.

“We are grateful to have been in a position to help and are proud of our employees who truly understand the meaning of giving and sharing,” Willis added.

Prosper, Inc. is a global leader of coaching and distance training in the areas of real estate investing, stock market investing, entrepreneurship, business marketing, eCommerce and personal finance.
